On Sunday, March 14, at 4:00 p.m., the American Guild of Organists will present an event called “Parables and Pipes:  an afternoon of drama and music from the ridiculous to the sublime.”  This will take place here at the Cathedral of All Souls in Biltmore Village.  Local organists Kyle Ritter, Barry Oliver, Margie Johnson, and Eric Wall will play music by a variety of composers.  Special guests in this event will be “Friends of the Groom”, an inter-denominational theater group from Cincinnati.  Through workshops and performances nationwide, Friends of the Groom is known for innovation, depth, and humor to its dramatic enactments of Biblical stories and spiritual parables.

This joint event here in Asheville will bring together these unique storytellers and actors, local drama participants, outstanding musicians in our area, and great organ music.

This is a not to be missed presentation.  This event is sponsored by the Western North Carolina Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and is free and open to the public.  For more information, contact chapter dean Eric Wall at 828-253-1431 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
